  1. Are our politicians going to watch this? Probably not. As always people approach the 'Drug War' with guns blazing. Johann's talk sheds light and some hope for us to learn and act with knowledge and love. Let's share and care.

  2. You really think America wants to fix addiction. They would never do what Portugal did for there citizens. They want us to be isolated and lonely. It's all planned, you don't think our leaders could fix this. No we get more channels, more food, more data, more comfort. Loans locking us down, education system that is flawed, and a meaningless 9 to 5 which the highlight of our days are getting home and watching netflixs .

  3. I am the most isolated person i know of and i am not an addict, nor i show intention to become one. How come? – I wonder.

  4. I consider smoking weed for depression.problem is my anxiety trigger just thinking about obtaining it illegally

  5. our brains are hard wired to repeat pleasurable experiences, it can whimper and pester you to use but it can not make your muscles react walk to the shop, the truth is every drug you have ever had, you choice to have it. i find lots of people use as self medication to deal with mental health issues. the power is honestly knowing your mind, living in this moment.
love and contentment to all my brothers and sisters out there suffering. change the way we think will change OUR world
    never STOP loving xxxxxbxxxxx

  6. One of the greatest video's I've seen in a while!
I know a great deal about addiction, including heroin and crack cocaine et al!

  7. This video is great, both because it points out the real effects of adiction and how it should be treated but also because of whiping out the false believe that nowadays we are connected while we cannot stand physical encounters but only twitter and instagram bullshit.

  8. what about getting rid of disconection with the world? means you are nearly on the edge but trying hard to deal- what about such people

  9. This guy is top of the line. TED Dr. Carlos Hart is saying the same thing.

I have been saying the samething for decade. Most things you know about addiction IS WRONG.

  10. The first part of what he said makes a ton of sense to me. I used to drink alcohol every day of the week(I had a stressful job at the time!!), and I did this for years on end. I never became an alcoholic and in fact, in 2012 when I lost this job, I just stopped completely with no withdrawal symptoms. Other than Christmas 2014 and Halloween 2014, I haven't had a drink since then. So, I've had less alcohol in the past 4 years combined than I would have drank in any given period of 3 days previously.

  11. , IN NO WAY IS THE AMOUNT OF OPIATE BASED MEDICATION GIVEN IN A HOSPITAL IS EQUIVALENT TO A DOSE THAT A AVERAGE STREET USER WOULD DO,— YOU HAVE A VISIBLE ILLNESS – VOMITING , WEAKNESS , ETC WHEN IN WITHDRAWS.- HE IS RIGHT ABOUT GIVING PEOPLE PURPOSE TO GO FORWARD IN THEIR LIFE'S THOUGH – YOU REALLY NEED TO YOUTUBE PEOPLE IN HEROIN WITHDRAW'S TO GET IT- BUT HE REALLY IS RIGHT ABOUT PEOPLE CARING FOR YOU , ( -JUST TO ADD I DIDNT MEAN THIS TO IN CAP'S MY LAPTOPS BROKEN )
